Moxie Robots, Inc was founded in 2025 by Kush Taneja, second-time founder best known for starting FamPay, (12M+ users, $43M+, profitable), where his journey of serving the next generation began. Kush acquired Moxie, the world's first emotional robot originally created by Embodied, Inc (invested $80M, sold 10K+ units, went bankrupt last year) - This communication is strictly confidential.
We think children can develop a healthier relationship with computers, iPads or screens. How would a computer look like if the kid designed one? Will it have a face? We think yes. and Moxie already has a great one. Moxie already proved to have an opposite effect on screen-time with iPad kids. Moxie has achieved over 1.2 billion views across platforms and was featured in the film M3GAN 2. Moxie has been awarded as The Best Inventions of 2020 by TIME Magazine. Moxie is culturally iconic — and just getting started. We are a small team of young and driven problem solvers, engineers, and designers from places like FamPay, Tesla, Matic, Disney, Embodied etc. We work in-person in Palo Alto, California and we are giving a new life to Moxie.

More context: We’ve acquired Embodied’s Moxie IP for the character. We are not using their existing codebase and are building it from the ground up. We think Moxie is the first computer children will get. In an AI co-evolving future, computers need faces and bodies – they need character and personality. We're building the foundational interface for how kids learn to build healthy relationships with AI and screens. Currently, kids are learning from ChatGPT and YouTube — but that's just efficient information access. We believe learning is not just an information phenomenon but also very social. Moxie's face encourages social and emotional skills, negotiation, empathy, and mutual respect. Unlike iPads, which are easy to misuse because they’re faceless. Moxie has a face, a story, and a character which makes it much harder to miss-use. That makes it inherently harder to abuse and naturally easier to build trust and healthy learning patterns around.
